Hasina Samoelinanja grew up in accordance with the Malagasy culture. Since his childhood he is a Kabary speaker. In 2006, he successfully completed his masters in German Studies with a thesis on the Malagasy social philosophy "Fihavanana" and its development. From 2007 to 2008 he studied tourism management at the Freie Universität Berlin and wrote his master thesis on the preconditions for sustainable tourism in Madagascar. Due to his numerous stays in Germany, he has gained a good insight into German culture and has a very good knowledge of the German language.
During his many years as a tour guide, Hasina was able to gain diverse experiences in the tourism industry. Those enable him to show his guests not only the natural beauty of Madagascar, but also to actively mediate between the cultures, thus bringing his guests into contact with the locals. Because of the multi-faceted impressions gained, an interactive exchange is made possible within his travel groups.
In cooperation with Westdeutsche Rundfunk, Hasina organized and moderated several Hira Gasy concerts in Germany in 2010. The mixture of his skills as a tour guide and as a Kabary speaker enabled him to bring the German audience closer to the Hira Gasy: http://www.wdr3.de/videos116.html
